Active on both the football and basketball teams, Dash is your typical jock at first glance. He's quick to intimidate those he thinks are smaller or weaker than him, but does have the slight redeeming trait of honest pride in his school and town. While certainly not the brightest student at Casper High, he does seem to be ironically self-aware at times concerning his own potential future. And he collects teddy bears. Not that he'd ever admit it.

Surprisingly enough, Dash has a stable, healthy family life. His mother, Meridith Baxter, is a successful real estate agent. She loves her family, but is often very busy with work. Ward Baxter, his father, is at heart a good man, but of a rather old fashioned mindset. Unfortunately, Dash seems to have inherited more than a few of those outdated concepts. He has two siblings, Brian and Elizabeth "Izzy" Baxter. The whereabouts of his older brother Brian are currently unknown. The Baxters don't speak of him much. Ten-year old Izzy is very much the darling of her family, very bright and spoiled. She delights in tormenting her big brother, but always relies on him in the end to scare away the boogyman.

Kwan Long: Best friends since middle school, things have been strained between the two since Kwan started dating Danny Fenton. Now he's trying to sort out conflicting feelings that may or may not have to do with jealousy. Not that he'd ever admit it.
Toki Kinmuno: They aren't dating. Honest. Not unless you count that bet and the bribe. But that still doesn't count. Try as he might, Dash just can't figure out his brash, prickly classmate. Or his own strange reactions...
Danny Fenton: Formerly one of Dash's favorite punching bags at school, Danny's now offlimits due to being Kwan's boyfriend.
